OT visibility: eleven industrial protocol families and eight OT dashboards

kymeer now recognises 11 industrial protocol families in the network events you already collect, and presents them in eight OT dashboards, from IEC 62443 zones to NERC CIP evidence.

20 August 2026. kymeer now recognises 11 industrial protocol families in the events your network sources already send, and presents them in eight OT dashboards.

What it does

kymeer reads the protocol label in an event. If there is none, it falls back to the protocol's well-known port where one exists. The families recognised are:

  • Modbus, DNP3, S7comm and OPC UA
  • IEC 60870-5-104 and IEC 61850, including GOOSE and MMS
  • EtherNet/IP (CIP), PROFINET and BACnet
  • FINS and SLMP (MELSEC)

Where an event carries a function code or operation, kymeer classes it as a stop, a mode change, a write or other. Writes, mode changes and stop commands stand out from routine reads and polls.

Eight OT dashboards

  • OT asset inventory and coverage
  • IT/OT segmentation, across IEC 62443 zones and conduits you define as network ranges
  • OT remote access
  • controller integrity
  • protocol allow-list
  • NERC CIP evidence
  • legacy exposure
  • safety-instrumented systems

Nothing is installed on controllers. The OT views work from network data, on the same platform and audit trail as IT. The dashboards show what your network sources record: protocol labels, ports and, where present, function codes.

Who it is for

  • Manufacturers and utilities that need inventory, zone and remote-access evidence without touching the plant.
  • SOC teams that want an IT incident reaching the plant investigated on one platform.
  • MSSPs serving industrial clients.
