Evaluating kymeer

A kymeer evaluation runs your use cases on your own data in six steps, against success criteria agreed before it starts. What to measure and test.

A kymeer evaluation answers a small number of operational questions using your own sources and use cases. Success criteria are agreed before the test starts, not invented after it.

What are the steps?

  1. Scope — choose the tenant and the users.
  2. Connect — add your priority sources.
  3. Select — pick two or three use cases.
  4. Baseline — record how your team works today.
  5. Run — work the use cases in kymeer, with evidence.
  6. Decide — review the results against the criteria you agreed.

What question should the evaluation answer?

The central question is whether your analysts can reach defensible evidence with fewer context breaks. Measure the real workflow:

  • time to first useful evidence
  • number of tool switches
  • whether pivots are preserved as the analyst goes deeper
  • whether the fields needed for the decision are available

What about speed, efficacy and return on investment?

These documents do not quote performance figures. Performance, detection efficacy and return on investment depend on your sources and use cases, so they belong in a scoped evaluation on your data. Screenshots and test-tenant values show the interface, not the outcome you will get.

Which access checks should we run?

Test tenant access boundaries before rollout, so you know what each role can see and change:

  • Visible identities — a Tenant Admin sees only identities inside the authorised tenant.
  • Assignable roles — invitation and role-change controls offer only roles appropriate to the tenant.
  • Audited changes — every access change produces a record with the actor, tenant, outcome and time.

See Roles for what each role is for and who can grant it.

What kind of tenant is used for a trial?

kymeer has a proof-of-concept tenant type for trials. It behaves either like an MSSP-operated tenant or like a customer-operated one, so you can test the access model you plan to use in production.

How do I arrange an evaluation?

Talk to us about an evaluation, or see the partner programme if you are a partner planning one for a customer.
